Quick Start

Install Kiosk and get your library running in five minutes.

1. Install Kiosk

Download the installer from the download page and run it — Kiosk installs like any Windows app.

Windows may show a SmartScreen popup (“Windows protected your PC”) because the installer isn’t code-signed. Click More info → Run anyway. Kiosk is safe to install. Full steps, including silent install: Installation.

2. Select or create a category

Kiosk starts with three built-in categories — Assets, Textures, and HDRI. Pick one to work in; categories act like tabs, each a section of your library.

Creating your own custom categories (Volumes, Lights, References…) is a Pro feature — click the + in the sidebar.

3. Add your files

In the Content Manager, click Add Source and point Kiosk at a folder — or drag and drop a folder onto the window. Kiosk scans it recursively and generates thumbnails automatically for images, HDRIs, and 3D files.

3D thumbnails render in the background. To (re)generate one yourself, right-click a file → Generate 3D Thumbnail, or run it for an entire source from its source button.

▶ Watch: Manage Content

4. Browse

Browse thumbnails in the gallery, search by name or tag, or switch to list view. Right-click any file for actions like Open, Reveal in Explorer, or Inspect 3D.

5. Connect your DCC

To export assets straight into your 3D software:

  1. Open App Menu → Plugin Manager
  2. Select your DCC and click Install
  3. Launch Kiosk from the plugin panel inside the DCC to start a live session
  4. Click any asset to send it into your scene

See Plugins for per-DCC setup, or watch the plugin integration video.
